Babel Project is an jazz band playing ethnic music, founded by Babel Metin Yılmaz who is a piano player and a composer with Başak Gürcan who is a jazz singer and sound engineer.
Babel Project is a musical project that brings together diverse cultures and melts a song in a natural equilibrium of Turkish folk songs, jazz, and electronic music.
The goal of the Babel Project is to introduce Turkish culture, thousands of years old sacred Turkish folk music (Turku) to the world, to aim at deep literature in its own language, to reach modern forms and to wake up curiosity to the future generations.
